The company’s phone plans now include more data for the same price.

Kogan Mobile is well known for its short-term offers, but this time the change is permanent: it’s added between 0.5GB and 2GB to its 30-day, 90-day and 365-day phone plans.

So the Small plan ($16.90) now includes 1.5GB of data. Medium ($29.90) comes with 6GB, Large ($36.90) 11GB, and Extra Large ($49.90) 16GB. These prices are for 30-day plans – prepaying for longer periods reduces the cost per day, though the overall price goes up, of course. All plans include unlimited standard calls, SMS and MMS.

“We know Australian mobile users want to access the Internet on-the-go, without worrying about bill shock,” said Kogan executive director David Shafer.

“In March this year, we increased the data on our Medium, Large and Extra Large plans for free. Six months on, we're doing it again - and this time, we're also increasing the data inclusion on our Small plan too.

“Mobile users looking for a phone plan with a huge amount of data included, that doesn't break the bank, now have more choice than ever and all our plans are receiving a free data increase. Our customers have been telling us that they're using their phones more than ever before, and data allowance is the most important part of their mobile plan. As always, we're listening to our customers and acting on it.”

It's been two months since we asked, but Kogan still hasn't confirmed that its mobile plans are available to small business customers – the terms say they are “for personal use only, and [services] are not available to medium to large business/corporate and commercial customers.”
