Businesses using a range of point-of-sale and order management services can now use Square's card readers and payment services.
Payments provider Square has announced a new series of integrations with Abacus, Boppl, Posboss, Mobi2Go, SalesIn, TouchBistro and Vend.
As result, users of these POS and order management services can now use Square's low-cost card readers and payment services, and take advantage of its fast deposits, competitive fees, and analytics and reporting tools.
“Square’s new integrations with our rapidly growing list of partners enable more sellers to have access to payments services that are optimised to their business needs,” said Square's country manager for Australia Ben Pfisterer.
“We’re empowering Australian merchants to run and grow their business with the tools they need, while enjoying the benefits of the Square ecosystem.”
Vend's vice president of payments Chris Connelly said the integration of Square and Vend provides another option for our customers that gives them additional flexibility. “Integration is always the way to go.”
Vend will qualify its customers as being suitable for Square, he said, and will further simplify the Square onboarding process. It will normally be completed overnight, compared with five to 15 days for traditional payment providers. It's quick, seamless, “and without the hassle”.
Both companies have a similar approach, and the combination is “aesthetically beautiful”, said Connelly. This is especially important to retailers and hospitality businesses that have adopted a minimalist design – Vend can be used on iPads or other hardware, and Square's reader is a compact white slab.
Another advantage of the combination is that it can be easily moved from place to place, for instance to a pop-up location at a festival or other event.
Information about the integrations is available from your POS or order management provider, or from the Square App Marketplace.
