SMEtv plans to deliver 400 videos aimed specifically at small and medium businesses by the end of the year.
Backed by B2B publisher The Intermedia Group, SMEtv http://smetv.today/ will cover the business gamut from marketing, finance, human resources, digital, to business management, success stories, business travel and more.
The idea is to give SME owners a place to learn from their successful peers, as well as from industry and business experts.
The first videos include KIDsize Living's use of social media marketing to expand their business into additional geographical areas through licensing, and restaurateur Paul Nguyen explainig how he created a food festival style event across his five restaurants, earning him $45,000 in one night.
SMEtv was founded by video content specialist Nigel Abbott, and investment banker Steve McLean who saw a gap in the market for SMEs struggling with the pressures of running a business.
“We discovered that SMEs have been missing out on accessible, useful and targeted educational content to help their businesses succeed,” said SMEtv founder Nigel Abbott.
“When developing SMEtv we spoke with over 2,000 business owners to find out what SMEs need most – from guidance on cash flow, to marketing, digital and more. We then set out to create targeted content which is highly relevant and useful for members.”
Much of the content is only available to registered users, but registration is free and only requires the disclosure of name and email address. Sponsors include business lender Prospa.
Until the middle of the year, new members will be in the running to win an SMEtv video package comprising a video interview on your business that will be featured on SMEtv, plus a video segment on your business including full production and collaboration with concept development and scripting.
