Optoma's new HDCast Pro covers the popular options for wireless video connectivity.
The $159 HDCast Pro plugs into an HDMI port on a screen or projector to enable wireless connectivity to commonly used computers and mobile devices - Windows, OS X, iOS and Android.
This is achieved through support for AirPlay, Miracast, DLNA and MHL.
There's also support for cloud video from YouTube, Vimeo, TED and other unspecified services, as well as the ability to access files stored in Dropbox, Google Drive and other cloud storage services (also unspecified).
Output resolutions are 720p and 1080p, and the wireless range is up to 10m within a room.
The dongle can be controlled from the HDCast Pro app for iOS and Android.
Optoma products are available from Amber Technology.
