Earlier this year Xero hinted that it was planning an Apple Watch app, and it has now arrived.

Xero for Apple Watch delivers notifications of new bank transactions along with the updated account balance, letting you see who has paid you and the amount remitted. Information can be displayed from all bank accounts linked to Xero.

In addition, the watch app provides notification of bill payments.

"Being able to use Xero on my Apple Watch, means that I can manage my cash flow more efficiently from my wrist and keep up to date on relevant information and updates throughout the days," saying Emma Lomax, founder of hand-embroidered accessory business Emma Lomax London.

Xero also took the opportunity to remind us that its iOS app includes support for 3D Touch to speed up the creation of new invoices and receipts on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

"The next step in cloud accounting is information at your fingertips. With 3D Touch and Apple Watch we're turning consumer technology into a vital tool for business owners, connecting them to the pulse of their business and allowing them to be more responsive to their customers. It's so cool that we can use Apple Watch to give business owners back valuable time", said Rod Drury, CEO of Xero.
