No special deals for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge buyers at Telstra.

Optus is trying to attract Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge buyers ready to pre-order with additional data allowances on certain plans, while Virgin Mobile seems content to let its existing offer speak for itself.

Telstra has now followed in Optus's footsteps.

The 32GB Galaxy S6 is available for $0 upfront on the $95 Mobile Accelerate and $100 Easy Share Business plans over 24 months, with 6GB of data per month. Optus only requires an $80 a month plan for a 'free' Galaxy S6 and Virgin's lowest-cost option is $59 a month including phone repayments, but you'd need to check how the various inclusions, conditions and network coverage suit your needs.

On the subject of coverage, Telstra has given the Galaxy S6 it's Blue Tick, meaning "it provides superior handheld coverage in regional and rural coverage areas," according to Telstra officials.

If you're hankering after a 32GB Galaxy S6 edge from Telstra, it'll cost you an extra $4 per month on that $95 Mobile Accelerate plan, or $2 extra on the $100 Easy Share Business plan.

Telstra's also throwing in a six-month Presto video-on-demand subscription with all new and recontracted Mobile Accelerate and Easy Share Business plans from 9 April, the day before the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge go on sale.
