This card reader is compliant with mandatory chip and PIN card payment authorisation rules that come into effect from August 1.

MYOB has a mobile credit card reader that integrates with MYOB PayDirect - their mobile payments solution.

The new device, which supersedes the card reader they have had on the market, connects to smartphones wirelessly using Bluetooth. It is compliant with mandatory chip and PIN card payment authorisation rules that come into effect from August 1 this year.

MYOB PayDirect costs $199 for the reader. Monthly charges vary from $0 with 2.8% per transaction to $60 per month with 1.35% charged per transaction. Existing PayDirect clients will receive the new device at no extra charge.

Many businesses carry out transactions while out on the road - anyone from tradespeople to entertainers. Although it's pretty easy to provide an invoice while you're at a job, that still leaves you with the sometimes time-consuming task of collecting the funds.
