If you need to make "business class" video conference calls on a laptop, this might be of interest.

Lifesize has released Lifesize Cloud, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product for video conferencing and communication.

Smartphone, table, laptop and conference room users can connect through the Lifesize Cloud app, which supports instant or scheduled and single or group calls.

Other features include a shared internal company directory that auto updates on every device used and the capability to connect to unlimited numbers of guests outside of the organisation.

Lifesize founder and CEO Craig Malloy said: "The demand for video communication in business is skyrocketing, driven primarily by free, consumer-focused applications.
