Looking to do lodge your tax return online using a Mac? Now for the first time you can download the e-tax software for your Mac.
It might have taken five years but Mac users can now finally lodge their tax returns online using e-tax.

For users running OSX 10.7 or later, you will need to ensure that you have set your security preferences to “Allow applications downloaded from Mac App Store and identified developers” which is located under System preferences > Security Privacy, otherwise you won’t be able to install the software.
The ATO also announced the availability of the ATO Tax 2013 and Taxtime magazine mobile apps for iOS and Android devices.
According to the press release, ATO Tax 2013 provides information on lodging your return, answers frequently asked questions and lets you monitor the progress of your return while the Taxtime Magazine app is an online alternative to the paper based tax return instructions.
