Hate paperwork? Find taxes too complicated? Then the organisers of this nation-wide petition want your support.
Small businesses in regional towns will hear a rallying cry calling for them to "help build grassroots support" in the leadup to the September election.
A national roadshow stopping in "regions and towns" will begin on August 5, according to an email sent to supporters of the "Too Big To ignore" campaign, which is aimed at raising awareness of issues affecting Australian small business people. To get a flavour of the campaign's message, you can watch this week's speech to the National Press Club by Peter Anderson, chief executive of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
With a national advertising campaign that kicked off earlier this year, the campaign has been encouraging business people to air their grievances - complaints about tax and red tape are a common theme.
An email sent out to supporters this week urged business owners to add their name to the campaign petition.
23,000 have clicked the button on the campaign web site so far to add their name to the petition.
