If you run a small accounting practice or a bookkeeping business, it might be worth investing a few hours to see what the Xero has to offer you and your clients.

Cloud accounting provider Xero is running a series of roadshows in Australia to introduce its 'report packs' feature to accountants and bookkeepers.

The tour started in Perth this morning (sorry Perthians, but this is the first chance we've had to mention it), and continues to:
  • Adelaide
  • Launceston
  • Glen Waverley (Melbourne)
  • Geelong, Canberra
  • Melbourne
  • Newcastle
  • Parramatta
  • Sydney
  • Cairns
  • Sunshine Coast
  • Brisbane
  • Darwin
  • Gold Coast

At the sessions you'll learn about topics including "report packs", a relatively new feature of Xero that allows accountants to develop a set of report templates at the practice level, and then generate the reports for sets of clients.

Other  topics include the essentials of Xero for accountants and bookkeepers, converting clients to Xero, and a general update for the company's professional partners.

The sessions accrue continuing professional education hours, and the Xero Essentials session is a prerequisite for Xero certification.

Intuit has also been running a roadshow for accountants and bookkeepers in Australia too, focussing on QuickBooks Online. The free workshops are running today and tomorrow in Melbourne, and on Wednesday in Brisbane.
