If you are an Apple fanatic, this could be an important item in your technology arsenal.

A simple connector like this is hardly the most exciting device, but if you’re an Apple fanatic, this could be an important item in your technology arsenal.

Apple has famously featured a whole new connection on its latest iPhone, as well as products like the new iPod Touch; it’s pretty likely that anything new – such as the upcoming iPad Mini – will also boast the tiny new Lightning dock.
 
So what do you do when your phone or old docks and gear have the old 30-pin connector?

You use this, of course, letting any combination of new/old iPhone talk to any combination of new/old gear. Annoying? Just a little, but that doesn’t make the Lightning Adaptor any less essential.
