Internode's base level Easy Reach plan now offers 15GB per month instead of 5GB, for the same price.
If you work at home it's worth keeping an eye on changes to broadband plans.
Internode has announced changes to its Easy Reach plans, and new and existing customers on the affected plans get the same benefit.
The base level plan now offers 15GB per month instead of 5GB, but the price remains at $59.95.
Even 15GB doesn't go far unless you are a light user, and the next step up is the Easy Reach 60 plan which remains unchanged at $69.95.
The two highest Easy Reach plans also get more data each month. The 100GB plan is now 150GB ($89.95), and the 250GB has been boosted to 300GB ($109.95, previously $139.95).
You can shave $20 per month off Easy Reach price if you bundle the service with an Internode NodeLine fixed phone service.
To give just one example of competitors' plans, Optus offers 120GB per month for $75, but it's worth noting that Internode does not meter a range of content including ABC iView and more than 100 streaming radio stations.
Internode is one of the ISPs that does the right thing by customers by automatically making changes.
Part of the problem is that some and perhaps a majority of ISPs don't bother to tell their customers when a new or improved plan is available.
As a business person, you might have thought a lasting relationship would be more important than chiselling a few dollars a month from an existing and possibly longstanding customer, but there you go.
