Providing you have at least six old BlackBerrys to trade in, RIM is offering up to $100 rebate on the purchase of six new BlackBerry 7 smartphones.
Qualifying purchases are the BlackBerry Bold 9900 from Optus or Vodafone, and the BlackBerry Bold 9900 or 9790 from Telstra.
There's a fair amount of small print associated with the deal, so visit the BlackBerry "rade up" site.
Exactly how much you will get depends on the number, model and condition of the old phones. Instead of posting a schedule on the web site, RIM has chosen to provide individual quotes. Either visit the web site or call 1800 230 074 to find out how much you stand to get back.
You'll need to provide proof of purchase of the new phones (dated between 1 September and 30 November 2012) to claim the rebate, which may take up to two months processing time.
Make sure you wipe all data from the old phones and remove the SIM cards before returning them for the rebate. While RIM's partner is supposed to take care of deleting the data, it's good practice to look after it yourself.
The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is available for $0 upfront on $80 plans from Telstra or Optus and a $60 plan from Vodafone.
