You can now get unlimited storage with Google for $10 a month

This could be of interest if you're prepared to store a lot of data online with Google.

Google Drive for Work is a new offering for businesses that includes unlimited storage, advanced audit reporting and new security controls for $10 per user per month.

Google Drive for Work keeps the storage, sync and share experience of Google Drive but adds some new administrative controls. For example, administrators can see activity such as moving, deleting or sharing a file within or outside the company.

There's also Google Apps Vault that allows you to search for specific types of data - an important tool if you're concerned about compliance with regards to where sensitive data is being stored.

These are important considerations if you are required to comply with the recently changed privacy regulations.

For $10 per user per month businesses get unlimited storage for all their employees and can store files up to 5 TB in size - that's larger than any hard drive in a desktop or notebook computer.

All files uploaded to Google Drive will be encrypted, not only in transit between your computer and Google data centres but also when stored on Google servers.

Google Drive for Work includes 24x7 phone support and a 99.9% uptime guarantee. You also get access to all of Google’s productivity apps like Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites and Hangouts.

Microsoft also recently announced price drops and capacity boosts for its online storage and Google has followed suit with new services, specifically targeting business users.
