The new Surface Pro 7 is a desirable tablet for work use, and you can currently find it on sale for much less than Microsoft's asking price.
At $2,158.96, the new Surface Pro 7 tablet computer isn't cheap if you buy it from Microsoft's web site (that price includes an Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage and a Type Cover - you'll also need to add the cost of Office).
Which is why we are interested to see it advertised for $1,799 with a Type Cover on JB Hi-Fi’s web site.
If you’re not familiar with the Surface Pro 7, it has Intel’s 10th Generation Intel Core processor and Microsoft promises up to 10.5 hours of battery life (thought of course, actual battery life will depend on how you use the device).
It also has USB-A and USB-C ports. The latter connection could be useful if you want to transfer large amounts of data quickly (it’s much faster than USB-3).
Keep in mind that this model includes Windows 10 Home, not the business version. But if you don’t need enterprise-level security and management Windows features, then this bundle might be worth considering.
As we explained here, if you’d rather type on a proper laptop keyboard, then the Surface Laptop 3 might be more suitable. Its starting price is $1,699 on Microsoft's site.
