With the new year underway, how will you be keeping track of your ever-growing to do list?
There iare some great to-do apps and software, from Evernote to OneNote, iPhone's Notes app, iA Writer and Remember The Milk.
Another that's crossed our radar recently is Todoist. It caught our attention because it takes a different approach that’s akin to basic project management.
Rather than working with a list of tasks that are categorised and given a due date, Todoist works differently.
You create projects and then add tasks to the projects.
Each task can be allocated it’s own due date. Although there’s no Gantt Chart view like full-blown project management tools, Todoist would suffice for managing simple projects.
There are versions of Todoist for Android, iPhone, Chrome, Firefox, Outlook, Thunderbird and the Mac. In other words you can use it with just about every device you can think of.
There are free and premium versions of Todoist.
The premium version costs $29 per year which has a number of extra features such as automatic backups, email alerts and the ability to add notes to tasks.
