Learn how to start and build a business on eBay, understand store elements, design principles and more.
If you would rather be taught how to sell effectively on eBay instead of learning the hard way, a new series of training courses backed by eBay is about to start.
The first course in a planned series from Dimension Data Learning Systems and eBay will be offered in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney starting next month. Further locations may be added to the itinerary depending on demand.
‘Starting your business on eBay’ is a half-day course costing $275. It will be offered in morning and afternoon sessions, starting on 15 August and running through to December. Bookings are now open, and more advanced courses are planned.
The course is designed for new or existing business sellers, and the only prerequisites are a basic level of computer literacy and an eBay account.
Participants will be taught how to start and build a business on eBay, understand store elements and how to apply design principles, identify functional category structures, and recognise best practice listings.
“Most successful sellers on eBay today learned through trial and error, and made plenty of mistakes along the way, including me," said Tim Davies, manager of seller education and engagement at eBay Australia and New Zealand. "Well structured education can remove some of the uncertainty and risk associated with any business.”
