What EXO has lacked - until now - is a supporting mobile application from MYOB to meet the needs of field sales staff and others who spend significant amounts of time away from the office.
That's been rectified with the arrival of MYOB EXO OnTheGo, an iPad app that provides mobile access to customer and contact information. Not only can users check the details of customers they are about to visit, they can identify other nearby customers where a personal visit might be beneficial.
Live stock level and price information are also available, so field sales staff are always working from the latest information.
The app allows the creation and modification of quotes and orders on the spot, which is more efficient than waiting to get back to the office to do the data entry.
"A recent study by the Economist Intelligence Unit showed that 71 percent of sales teams were spending too much time on administrative tasks and this was reducing sales productivity. EXO OnTheGo offers enterprise businesses greater functionality when working anywhere at any time," said Andrew Birch, general manager of MYOB's enterprise division.
"By offering our own mobile solution, developed specifically for MYOB EXO Business, clients will have a single partner providing their entire ERP system - no more having to work with multiple vendors and run the risk of poor integration or communication between them," he added.
