Telstra Launches Mobile Plans for Small Business

Telstra targets small businesses with Go Business mobile plans. Telstra's latest mobile plans for small business include unlimited SMS, free calls to other mobiles on the same account, shareable data, and a free entertainment bonus.

Telstra Go Business mobile plans start at $65 per month. That gets you 1.5GB of mobile data, $800 worth of standard calls (albeit in telco 'funny money' where a two-minute call costs $2), free calls to "eligible mobiles" on the same account and to 1800 numbers, unlimited SMS and MMS, and unlimited voicemail retrieval and diversion.

An extra $20 a month boosts the inclusions to 3GB of data and $1,200 worth of calls.

If that's still not enough, the remaining plans include unlimited standard calls and either 6GB ($100), 10GB ($135) or 16GB ($195) of data.

Mobile data can be shared between devices on the same account. This potentially reduces the need to pay for excess data, which is automatically charged at $10 per GB once the limit for the month is reached.

Customers on Go Business plans also get an extra data-only SIM for use in a tablet or mobile broadband device such as a dongle or a Wi-Fi router.

As a further sweetener, Go Business plans include the choice of a bonus six-month subscription to the Presto movie and TV streaming service, a 12-month NRL digital pass, or a 12-month AFL Live pass. Data charges apply to Presto use, and may apply to NRL and AFL content if the phone or tablet is not connected directly to the Telstra mobile network.

Go Mobile plans are also available for consumer use, starting at $55 per month for 1GB of data, $550 worth of standard calls, and unlimited SMS and MMS. As with the business plans, data can be shared between phones on the same account.
