Get help on tax, record keeping, legal, accounting and other topics at this country-wide event.
We’ve said it before; there are an awful lot of free guides and handbooks out there for the new small business person. eBooks, seminars…you name it, you'll probably find free, basic information.
Add to that list this event, which is billing itself as a way to get your basic business questions answered, "from tax to record keeping".
The event, called HomeBiz Connect, is being held in capital cities over the next few months, and is aimed at people who work from home.
The event costs $25, but it seems like there will be quite a variety of agencies and professionals there to make contact with - not to mention people in the same boat as you.
The event would suit anyone "looking to start a new online retail store, to contract out your corporate or trade skills, or support a partner by managing their paperwork," states the web site.
The HomeBiz Connect web site states it can provide information on these topics:
- Business set up
- Taxation and superannuation obligations
- Government support and grants
- Insurance including workers compensation obligations
- Employment obligations
- Legal and accounting procedures
- Integration of social media
- IT platforms and support
- Office supplies
- Financial information including Venture Capital
