Integration between the two services makes it easier – and potentially cheaper – to manage deliveries for online sales.
Courier aggregator Sendle offers a nationwide door-to-door delivery service at around two-thirds of the cost of postage. It offers integrations with a number of other online services, with the latest being the Shopify ecommerce platform.
The new integration means online sales from Shopify can be moved into the Sendle dashboard to make it easier to print labels and book and track deliveries.
“Through our integration with Shopify, we are unlocking the power of big business logistics – convenience and affordability – for small and medium online sellers around the country,” said Sendle CEO and co-founder James Chin Moody.
Product sample provider The Change Box uses the delivery service. “Sendle has been a great platform for my business for a few years now, allowing me to easily ship my orders to customers online,” said founder Katie de Rooy.
“As the orders coming through Shopify have increased, packing and labelling orders was taking more time and manpower than necessary. The Sendle and Shopify integration has allowed me to focus on what’s important in my business and not waste hours on order slips.”
Sendle also integrates with Xero, Neto, ReadyToShip, ShipStation and StarShipIT.
Sendle’s delivery prices start at $7.95 for a 500g satchel with no monthly fee or minimum commitment – just be aware that Sendle’s idea of “remote” is probably not the same as yours or mine: some fringe metro suburbs attract the remote surcharge that varies from around 90 percent to over 300 percent. Fortunately, Sendle allows you to generate quotations according to the delivery address.
