Remember, you don't sign up for the NBN with the NBN Co - that's the company that is building the network. To actually signup for an NBN plan you'll deal with your preferred phone and Internet company, just like you already do.
As we've already shown in our tables comparing NBN prices, plans can range from cheap to relatively expensive - so it makes sense to do some window shopping.
In fact that there are more than 40 phone and Internet providers signed up to offer NBN services, according to official numbers released in October. They include well-known names like iiNet, Telstra, Optus, Internode and iPrimus.
