Employees can now access their personal details and payslips, request leave and more via Sage ESS.
Sage Software Australia has released Sage ESS, a cloud-based self-service application that integrates with its widely-used MicrOpay payroll system.
Sage ESS gives employees and managers self-service access to their personal and banking details, and for viewing and downloading pay advices.
Pay advices and payment summaries are automatically transferred from MicrOpay to ESS, eliminating the need to mail or email them to employees.
It also includes leave tracking, applications and approvals, sending automatic email notifications to managers when leave applications are submitted. Once approved, leave details are transferred to MicrOpay for processing.
A wizard simplifies setting up other workflow processes, for example to change the approval process for long service leave.
"Allowing employees to access their data in a self-serve model ensures that the HR team is no longer bombarded with emails, calls and employee 'walk-ins' seeking answers to simple questions. By using Sage ESS, the HR department is free to focus on strategic work such as talent management and training," said Sage country vice president Alan Osrin.
"The barriers between work and personal life are dissolving with the use of mobile devices. Managers often need to approve requests while on the go and employees want a fast and user-friendly application accessible from anywhere, at any time and on any device."
