Businesses using the Saasu cloud accounting system now have another option for implementing recurring billing.
Recurring billing is a very convenient approach in subscription-like situations. If you charge clients or customers the same amount each month - for personal training, lawn mowing or whatever - it's handy for both parties.
Once the arrangement is in place, the business is freed from the chore of manually invoicing customers once a month and gets paid on the due date. In addition, the transaction is automatically marked as paid in the accounting system. All the customer needs to do is check their credit card statement to ensure the transaction was for the correct amount and wasn't duplicated.
Late last year, Saasu introduced recurring billing, with Stripe as the first payment processor supported.
At that time, the company said other providers would be supported, and has now delivered on that promise by adding support for eWay.
Saasu users making use of recurring billing can only connect to one payment processor, so they can't game the system by using whichever processor charges the lower fee for a particular transaction (eWay's fee is 1.9 percent plus 20c, whereas Stripe charges 1.75 percent plus 30c).
Saasu has indicated that it plans to provide integration with at least one more payment processor.
