If you run or are thinking of starting a small business, the HomeBiz Connect events are a low-cost way of getting information from experts on a variety of relevant matters.

Don't even have a business plan? Not sure where to get started with selling something online? Don't know how to get your business funded? These are the sort of topics being discussed at the Sydney event BIT attended recently.
HomeBiz Connect is being held in various locations around the country. The next stop is Canberra on March 7. Admission costs $25.
Talks scheduled for the Canberra event include:

Speakers at the all-day event at Rydges Lakeside will be drawn from AusIndustry, the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Ecomony's Digital Business team, Ellara Business Consulting, Coaching and Training, National Australia Bank, Small Business Superannuation Clearing House and other organisations.
Staff from Business Enterprise Centres Australia (which runs HomeBiz Connect) will be on hand along with other professionals to answer specific questions.
Following Canberra, HomeBiz Connect will next visit:
  • Adelaide on March 21
  • Melbourne on April 19
  • Perth on May 2
  • Brisbane on May 16
  • Darwin on May 30
