Restaurant booking service now integrates with Google

Dimmi allows diners to book restaurant tables from within Google search results.

TripAdvisor’s Dimmi is well established, providing an easy way for diners to make online table reservations. More than 4000 restaurants around the country use the restaurant booking service.

Dimmi's latest initiative provides another reason for restaurants to use the service: Dimmi bookings are now available within Google search results.

Google's maps and knowledge panel for participating restaurants now includes a ‘find a table’ button that presents a booking panel without leaving Google.

This feature is being progressively rolled out, and at the time of writing had been enabled for around one-quarter of the restaurants that offer Dimmi bookings.

“Online reservations are becoming the new norm, as consumers just want to be able to book whenever, and wherever, as easily as possible,” said Dimmi managing director Jared Chapman.

“At Dimmi, we're always looking for new ways to help our restaurant partners. This integration will help customers make a restaurant reservation instantly when searching and discovering restaurants.”
