One of the biggest awards ceremony of its kind, the Telstra Australian Business Awards, will be closing on April 4. The combined prize pool totals $500,000.
There are publicity, prize money and networking benefits of entering business awards.
If you have been considering entering this year, then keep in mind that the submission deadline for one of the biggest awards ceremony of its kind, the Telstra Australian Business Awards, will be closing on April 4.
The Telstra web site suggests it takes “about 20-30 hours” to complete the entry forms so keep that allocation of time in mind.
If you are shortlisted, judges come to visit your workplace and if you are a finalist you attend a workshop to get media training and prepare for the Awards event.
There are five different award categories this year:
- Start-up Award
- Micro-Business Award
- Small Business Award
- Medium Business Award
- Regional Award
State and territory winners will go on to the national awards in Sydney on 22 August 2013 where the 2013 Telstra Australian Business of the Year will be announced.
The Telstra Australian Business Awards has a combined prize pool of $500,000 but it’s also an opportunity to see what your rivals are doing and possibly even get a few ideas from other companies that don’t compete in your field.
