Reckon users get easier access to legal documents

The cloud accounting provider's users can now quickly access HR and other legal documents from AusDocsOnline.

Reckon and AusDocsOnline have formed a strategic alliance that will make the latter’s catalogue of legal documents more visible for users of the cloud accounting system.

AusDocsOnline sells more than 500 legal documents, such as partnership agreements, trust deeds and employment agreements, many of them created by legal publisher LexisNexis.

The documents are supplied as Word files, making it easy for buyers to insert specific information such as the names of the parties to an agreement.

The service is about to add access to qualified and independent legal and employment experts.

Reckon described the move as part of its long-term strategy of offering small businesses a complete suite of solutions to run and grow their business more efficiently.

“Workplace legislation  is tougher than ever today. Small businesses are typically unable to afford HR or legal professionals, or the time to review policies, they tend to expose themselves to costly, damaging claims,” said Reckon ANZ national sales manager Shaun Locke.

“AusDocsOnline provides business owners with quick, easy and affordable access to legal documentation, policies and procedures, enabling them to run better businesses.”

The service is also positioned as being ideal for advisors who assist small businesses with compliance matters.

“This partnership with Reckon is an exciting one,” said AusDocsOnline co-founder and director Gary Kendrick.

“In partnership with Reckon we are looking forward to serving small, medium and franchise businesses along with their professional advisors – the accountants, bookkeepers and business advisors, enabling them to strengthen their relationships with their clients. Raising the level of knowledge through access to quality legal and compliance services, SMEs will have a more valuable experience with their  advisors.”
