If you use QuickBooks, here is the timeframe for when the accounting software will be fully compatible with Windows 8.
Anyone using QuickBooks should be aware of this page which lists when each version will be updated to be fully compatible with Windows 8.
Two weeks ago we posted this article explaining that at the time, current versions of QuickBooks did not run properly on the unreleased Windows 8 and that updates would be coming to make them compatible with Windows 8. MYOB also stated it was planning to release updates to make its V19 and AccountRight Live products compatible with Windows 8.
Since then, Reckon (which supplies QuickBooks and Quicken in Australia) has posted this table detailing timeframes for when Windows 8 compatible versions of QuickBooks and other products will be available.
- Quicken - this is being renamed ReckonAccounts and is scheduled to be released on November 1 this year.
- QuickBooks - The various versions of QuickBooks will be updated in May 2013.
As we pointed out in our earlier article, Reckon says its cloud product, QuickBooks Hosted, is already fully compatible with Windows 8.
