Intuit is the latest cloud accounting provider to report strong growth.
Building on an already-impressive 61 percent growth in 2015-16, Intuit Australia put on an 89 percent spurt to July 2017 that took its number of QuickBooks subscribers over the 100,000 mark.
“We’ve only been in the market a little over four years and we continue to expand at a remarkable rate. Our sights are set on being number one in Australia within the next five years and we have set aggressive targets to achieve this,” said vice president and country manager Nicolette Maury.
“Thirty-one percent of our new small business customers come from mobile, reflecting the high adoption rates of mobile technology in Australia.”
By comparison, Xero recently said it was approaching 500,000 subscribers in Australia, while MYOB just reported it has 306,000 online subscribers (not including users of its legacy desktop software) in Australia and New Zealand, a 53 percent year-on-year change.
