QuickBooks users are now Reckon Accounts users. The release of the 2013 versions of the accounting software was accompanied by a name change necessitated by Intuit's use of the QuickBooks brand for its cloud-based accounting system now offered directly to Australian customers.

The Reckon Accounts 2013 range has just been released, and comprises:

  • EasyStart 2013 (previously QuickBooks EasyStart)
  • Accounting 2013 (previously QuickBooks Accounting)
  • Plus 2013 (previously QuickBooks Plus)
  • Pro 2013 (previously QuickBooks Pro)
  • Premier 2013 (previously QuickBooks Premier)
  • Enterprise 2013 (previously QuickBooks Enterprise)
  • Hosted (to be updated mid-April)

Changes in the 2013 versions include compliance with changes to reporting requirements for the building and construction industry, and to Employment Termination Payments. Also new is Windows 8 compatibility for the desktop software (QuickBooks and MYOB: Windows 8 versions on the way, Reckon updates on QuickBooks Windows 8 compatibility).

The Australian versions of the Quicken personal finance products were renamed Reckon Accounts Personal in late 2012. Quicken 2013 no longer called Quicken.
