If you're selling online and using cloud accounting, here's a way of tying the two more closely together.
Intuit is adding integrations with the Bigcommerce and Shopify ecommerce platforms to its cloud-based accounting system QuickBooks Online.
The integrations mean that all ecommerce transactions on either Bigcommerce or Shopify can automatically flow into QuickBooks Online, doing away with this aspect of manual data entry.
Related benefits are that QuickBooks Online is kept up to date, which in turn means business owners and managers can obtain reports that more accurately represent the current state of affairs.
As part of the new arrangements, Bigcommerce and Shopify have been named QuickBooks Payments preferred partners for ecommerce and payments integration.
Intuit has not revealed when the new integrations will be available to Australian users. The Bigcommerce integration will arrive here after it has been rolled out in the US. When Shopify integration becomes available, it will be offered to current merchants first.
Integration between QuickBooks Online and Bigcommerce, Magento, Shopify and other ecommerce platforms is still available via OneSaas, a third-party service that connects various cloud applications.
