Oki revamps colour printer range

Oki has announced the release of seven new LED printers and multifunction devices.

All of the new models in Oki's range include Gigabit Ethernet (with optional Wi-Fi), support for AirPrint and Google Cloud Print (for ease of use with mobile devices), 'private print' (to prevent documents sitting in the output tray for all to read), and a three year warranty. All use LED technology (just think of it as an improvement on laser printing).

There are five new printers, starting from the $399 C332dn, which offers A4 printing at 30 pages per minute for mono and 26ppm for colour, along with duplex capability (as indicated by the ‘d’ in the model number). At the top end is the $2715 C833n, which features 35ppm A3 printing and “the smallest footprint in its class” according to Oki.

The range also includes two new multifunction devices, the $649 MC363dn and the $1299 MC573dn. The main differences between the two are the MC573dn is slightly faster when printing in colour (30/30ppm vs 26/30ppm), offers higher print resolution (1200x1200dpi vs 1200x600dpi), and sports a 7in colour touchscreen for easier use.

The MC573dn also includes Oki's sXP technology for integration with business systems and simplifying document capture, distribution, management and output.

The new models will be available from early November.
