If you are a small business operator with a question about workplace relations laws, you might be interested to know the Fair Work Infoline (13 13 94) now gives small business people priority when they call.
The Infoline is open from 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). Payroll and human resources issues are typical topics you can call the help line about.
The Ombudsman's office recommends business owners and managers complete this checklist before calling.
