MailChimp will be rolling out a new version of their popular email-marketing tool starting next month.
If you are using MailChimp to send newsletters to your customers, you might be interested to know that MailChimp will be rolling out a new version of their popular email-marketing tool starting next month.
The main update in the new version is the overhauled management interface, which has now been optimised, to work with tablets and smartphones, enabling the ability to fire off newsletter campaigns while on the go.
The new version also brings a host of other changes to the UI, so you may want to checkout the full list of changes here and here if you are an active MailChimp user.
The main benefit of using a dedicated email-marketing tool such as MailChimp or Vision6 to send batch communications to customers (as opposed to the manual process of using an email client like Outlook) is the built-in support for users to subscribe or unsubscribe directly from the newsletter.
Dedicated marketing tools also offer the ability to store your subscriber data in a database for easier management in addition to anti-spam features, and the ability to track metrics (number of open rates, bounce rates, clicks, unsubscribes etc.).
