Eight new printers range in price from $229 to $449.
Epson has released eight new models in its WorkForce and WorkForce Pro all-in-one printer families aimed at the home and small office market.
The company claims the new printers produce sharp black text and commercial quality colour graphics at lower print costs, using Epson's PrecisionCore technology.
Other features in common across the range include Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct, with wireless printing support for iPads, iPhones and Android tablets and phones.
Among the highlights of the new lineup are:
- WorkForce Pro WF-3720: This $229 all-in-one is rated at 20ppm mono and 10 ppm colour (ISO), and includes double-sided printing, a 35-page ADF, fax, and a 2.7in colour touchscreen.
- WorkForce Pro WF-4720: An extra $120 on top of the price of the WF-3720 buys you 20ppm colour (ISO) printing.
- WorkForce Pro WF-4740 (pictured): Said to provide the fastest colour print speed in its class (22ppm ISO; 24ppm mono) plus lower printing costs, this $399 all-in-one also features two paper trays with a total capacity of 500 sheets, a 50-page ADF, two-sided printing, copying, scanning, and faxing, and a 4.3in colour touchscreen.
- WorkForce WF-7710: For those with ideas that are too big to fit on a A4 page, the $349 WF-7710 provides borderless printing up to A3+ (13 x 19in; approximately 33 x 48cm) and scanning up to A3. Its other specifications include a 250-sheet tray plus a rear feed for specialty paper, 35-page ADF, 4.3in colour touchscreen, and two-sided print, copy, scan and fax.
These four new all-in-one printers – along with the WF-3725 ($229), WF-4745 ($399), WF-7720 ($449) and WF-7725 ($449) – are available immediately.
