D-Link’s DCS-2630L captures natural-looking wide-angle images, allowing one camera to cover a whole room.
D-Link says the lens in its D-Link DCS-2630L Wi-Fi surveillance camera has the widest view in its class.
The $499.95 device has a 180-degree lens – and whereas wide-angle lenses typically provide a distorted fish-eye view, the DCS-2630L uses software to reduce that effect and capture more natural-looking images.
They’re 1080p high-definition images too, so the DCS-2630L will have no problem covering a regular-sized room on its own, avoiding the need for a complex multi-camera solution, according to D-Link.

Two-way audio support means an operator can listen in and if appropriate respond to those on the premises.
The DCS-2630L supports the 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard, and like other D-Link cameras, it works with the company's mydlink Lite mobile app and its DNR-202L video recorder.
