Hotdesk has worked with Compass to offer serviced offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Dubai and Almaty.
Melbourne-based Hotdesk could be described as the AirBnB of office space: it brings together people looking for casual office space with those that have spare desks or rooms.
Some of these places are co-working spaces, some are just areas within a larger office that the tenant wants to sublet, and others are fully-serviced offices.
The company has just done a deal with Compass Offices allowing it to offer additional desks and meeting rooms in cities around our region by the day, week or month.
Compass has serviced offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Dubai and Almaty.
Facilities include complimentary coffee or tea (with other items available for purchase), reception services, and access to office equipment (for example, a printer and stapler), while the meeting rooms feature conference phones, internet connection, video conferencing, whiteboards, and TVs with projector capabilities.
According to Hotdesk founder Steve Glaveski, Hotdesk is the only place where space at Compass's facilities can be booked by the day or week.
Workspaces currently listed by Hotdesk - not just those provided by Compass - range from $25 to $923 a week in Melbourne, and $90 to $295 in Sydney. It should go without saying that what you get for your money varies widely in terms of location, space and facilities.
