If you don’t have time to spend all day answering calls to your business from people asking when you close and how much you charge – then Google’s latest trick might be of interest.
Google CallJoy is a “virtual phone agent” that answers the phone for small businesses, and handles basic questions.
Unfortunately it’s only available in the US. But it’s a sign that there’s hope for small business that don’t have enough time to manage customer calls.
You can CallJoy a custom greeting and tell it how to answer basic questions about prices, opening hours and the like.
If the caller need s to compete an order online, Google CallJoy can also send a url to their phone. And it will attempt to weed out unsolicited advertising calls.
In an article about the latest CallJoy features, Google says restaurants could tell CallJoy how to answer callers that ask about vegetarian options. CallJoy could also offer to text the caller a link to the menu.
