If you use Dropbox but want to edit your files using Office on a tablet or phone, this might be of interest.
Up till now, if you wanted to use Office on your tablet, but you have your files stored in Dropbox, you had to copy files back and forth between Dropbox and OneDrive.
Now that cumbersome step has been removed. You'll now be able to edit documents stored in Dropbox using Microsoft's Office applications. Upcoming changes to the mobile versions of Microsoft's Office apps will work with the smartphone and tablet versions of Dropbox.
You'll also be able to share documents stored in Dropbox directly from the Office apps.
These new features will be available to Dropbox users on iOS and Android in the next few weeks. Dropbox for Business customers will be able to take advantage of these updates, as the features will also be available for customers using Office 365.
Web integration - so you can edit documents stored in Dropbox from any web browser - is coming during the first half of 2015.
