Google has announced that Quickoffice is now free to download for your Android phone or iPhone or iPad.
With it, you will be able to edit Microsoft Office documents, without owning Office.
Also, documents, spreadsheets or PowerPoint presentations you create with Quickoffice can be saved to the cloud using Google Drive - this means you can access your files anywhere you have an Internet connection. This is much like how Office 365 apps are integrated with Microsoft’s Skydrive.
To add to that, you can also get an extra 10GB of Google Drive storage if you sign in using your Google account from within the Quickoffice app.
The additional 10GB of storage is valid for two years and it’s worth noting that it will take a "few weeks" for the storage to hit your Drive accounts according to Google. The bonus Drive storage offer is only available until September 26.
