Free ticket to the CeBIT business IT exhibition in Australia

Billed as the biggest business technology event in Australia, CeBIT is currently offering free exhibition entry tickets online.

To get the free CeBIT exhibition entry ticket, you need to use a special promo code when registering via the CeBIT website.

We were alerted to this via the site OzBargain, and yes, there are some commenters claiming that there are free promos for CeBIT every year.

You can enter the promo code “share53a” at checkout and it will automatically drop the price down from the regular price of $40 - note, we found this doesn't happen until you get to the final checkout stage.

From what we can tell, this gives you access to the exhibiton floor, but not the various conferences and workshops which also run at the same time as the exhibition.

CeBIT is an annual event held at Darling Harbour in Sydney and this year will be held on May 28 through till May 30.

Unlike some of the other events we tell you about, like HomeBiz Connect, CeBIT is a mix of ecpo-style stalls showing off the latest technology, to conferences for "business leaders" and IT managers.

We wouldn't describe it as a small business event, though it is attended by small business owners in search of technologies that will help make their business run more efficiently.

This year there will be four halls and 3,00 “solution experts” at your disposal under one roof, with over 32,000 visitors from 40 countries expected.

Practical workshops will include:

  • Cloud Computing 101
  • Getting your business eCommerce ready
  • Writing your office security policy
  • Big Data for SME business
  • BYOD
  • Managing a mobile workforce
  • and others
