Dataweavers, hosting service of Australian marketing technology (martech) platform as a service (PaaS), has announced the acceleration of the global launch of its business. 

The news follows major client wins in the US, international uptake of its SaaS experience for Sitecore, and new international presence in the UK and US, according to the company. 

The Australian operation was launched in late 2018 and is a hosting service of martech platforms, offering performance, security and price guaranteed on the Microsoft Azure Platform. 

Ben Shapiro, Dataweavers CEO and co-founder says that the business was created to solve problems and accelerate client outcomes for CMOs and CIOs.  

“As clients attempted to begin their CX transformations, they would often get blocked by digital experience platform (DXP) complexities, religious technical arguments, and unpredictable costs, all of which created barriers to actually getting started,” he says. 

“And the problem with enterprise DXPs is that they’re hard to set up, not repeatable, too complex, take too long to deploy, or simply cost too much to upgrade. Dataweavers Managed Sitecore provides the best of both worlds, making the most of an enterprise scale, flexible DXP platform that is also kept secure, available, and up to date on the latest version.” 

Dataweavers CTO and co-founder Anthony Hook says that analysing users and clients experience with such challenges inspired them to develop the software.  

“Knowing our client’s pain points, we’ve taken our deep understanding of the Sitecore platform and Azure Cloud architecture to develop streamlined products that are standardised, operationalised, repeatable and scalable” he says. 

“This approach ensures that when working with enterprise martech, we’re never starting from scratch which is how we can offer speed and certainty, and our price guarantee.” 

Prior to Dataweavers, Hook spent 15 years working in various digital environments including time at Sitecore.

Dataweavers says that the global expansion has lead to the appointment of team members internationally, appointing Alex Angas to manage UK operations and USA growth in early 2021.
