If you think your business is ready to stretch its budget beyond Google ads, this might be of interest.
Performance-based online advertising company Criteo may be able to help improve your sales.
Until recently, Criteo http://www.criteo.com/ has only worked with companies with large online ad budgets such as Webjet and Domain.
But it now wants to attract ads from businesses of all sizes, especially those involved in retail, ecommerce, travel and classified advertising.
Criteo delivers targeted, personalised advertising through premium online publishers as well as real-time bidding ad networks. It claims this approach allows advertisers to achieve a 30 percent increase in sales without increasing the cost of sales.
We don't know whether that figure is achievable in every case, but it seems to make sense that delivering ads only to those people judged to be likely to buy at that moment will improve the efficiency of advertising, especially when combined with algorithms that determine which product(s) to present to a particular person and how much to bid for that ad spot.
Last November, comScore officials said figures from digital analytics company comScore showed that 71 percent of Australians were exposed to ads delivered by Criteo.
