NRMA Business Insurance policyholders now have access to a site that provides advice from qualified tax accountants and legal professionals.
NRMA Business Insurance is the latest sponsor of Legal Access Services' My Lawyer, which offers "information and guidance on business structures, business contracts, interpreting business documents, company law, debt recovery, product warranties and liability, resolving business disputes, liabilities of company directors, trade practises, protecting business assets, intellectual property, leases and more."
Tax advice is also available, particularly regarding lawful tax minimisation, the tax implications of business transactions, and structuring company and personal interests.
In both cases the advice is provided by the service's network of independent law firms via email and where appropriate by phone. Responding solicitors may offer a free in-person consultation for more complex matters, plus further assistance at their normal or discounted rates.
Qualifying NRMA Business Insurance customers can access the service here.
"We've introduced this service because our research showed us that one in every two small business owners would benefit from a helping hand with their tax and legal responsibilities," said NRMA Business Insurance spokesperson Craig Wigginton.
"Getting help from a qualified professional will help to ensure you are receiving the correct information and guidance, setting your business up for greater success in the long run."
Sponsors other than NRMA Business Insurance include Westpac and St George, but it is up to each sponsor to decide which categories of their customers may use the service.
