Belkin unveils "Ultimate Keyboard Case" for iPad

Do a lot of typing on your iPad? Belkin claims its new Ultimate Keyboard Case is the slimmest and lightest keyboard case on the market.

If you’re in the market for an iPad keyboard, we recommend taking a look at our recent reviews of five keyboard cases for the iPad.

Now there's another: Belkin’s newly announced Ultimate Keyboard Case which the manufacturer claims is the slimmest and lightest keyboard folio on the market at 6.4mm thin and weighing less than 500 grams. The folio case will be available in retailers across Australia from May 13 with an RRP of $139.95.

Belkin have paid particular attention to build quality with the folio case made of an aluminum alloy.

The case lets you use your iPad in three different viewing and typing angles via a magnetic mechanism that locks in your iPad.

The case also has magnet sensors, which automatically turns the keyboard on or off depending on whether the case is open or closed, conserving keyboard battery life.

Belkin claims that the keyboard has a 160-hour battery life under constant use and lasts for 6-months on standby.

The touchscreen keyboard on the iPad is far from ideal for editing documents or writing lengthy emails, which is why keyboard cases like these are useful.
