If you're looking to sell goods and services to China, this free course might be of interest.
Chinese Internet giant Alibaba Cloud is involved in a new, free course for Australian businesses wanting to do business in China.
The seven-week China Canvas Challenge course begins on February 25, 2019, and will be offered by Sydney co-working startup Haymarket HQ. The company has partnered with Alibaba Cloud, Australia Post and the Australia China Council to offer the course.
The course will provide “top-quality guidance from successful entrepreneurs with hands-on experience in the Australia-China market,” Haymarket HQ general manager Duco van Breemen said in a blog on the company’s web site. The company is also pitching the course as a way to make contact with other entrepreneurs.
Participants will also get the opportunity to pitch their business idea to judges in Sydney, and the winning pitch will receive a “business exploration trip” to China.
The course material covers market positioning, distribution, business models, branding and legal and regulatory issues, among other topics.
Participants will use the Lean Canvas one-page business plan template, which is designed to make business plans easier to create and easier for others to read.
