Are you the unlucky router buyer?

A single example of a faulty wireless mesh router is thought to be in the wild.

A batch of 320 Amplifi AFI-HD-AU wireless mesh routers distributed by Leader Systems had a manufacturing fault that led to a risk of electric shock, leading to a recall.

According to the ACCC, “most of the affected units have been returned from the supply chain, and there is believed to be one outstanding unit with a consumer.”

The remaining unit has the serial number GG1703113749, and the MAC addresses of the satellite units are F09FC2D9509F and F09FC2D9515A. The fault is in the mains plug of the satellites.

The outstanding product was sold sometime between 21 August and 5 October 2017.

If you own it, “stop using the product immediately and contact Leader RMA Team on 03 9037 3020 (Monday – Friday, 9am–5.30pm) or email vic.ra@leadersystems.com.au to arrange for the return of the product and for a replacement product to be provided.”
