Good news if you've been eyeing a new Apple MacBook Pro. The price just got cheaper.
Apple has cut the base price of certain MacBook Pro with Retina and MacBook Air notebooks, and introduced faster processors to the MacBook Pro with Retina range.
Here's what's changed with the 13in MacBook Pro with Retina:
- it now starts at $1,649 (originally $1,899)
- There is also a faster 2.6GHz configuration with 256GB of flash storage for $1,849 (the 2.5GHz model with 256GB originally cost $2199).
What about the changes to the 15in MacBook Pro with Retina?
- it now comes with a choice of 2.4GHz or 2.7GHz quad-core processors instead of the original 2.3GHz or 2.6GHz chips.
- Prices remain unchanged at $2,499 and $3,199 respectively.
The 13in MacBook Air with 256GB of flash storage also gets a price cut from $1,689 to $1,549.

It might be overkill if all you want is basic apps and web access - we'd recommend you consider the MaBook Air if that's the case.
